Use of Conventions

My magazine was modeled after a typical travel/destination type magazine with the main focus being on highlighting attractions or big tourist locations of a certain area. I did this with Sarasota and used locations around the area such as Marina Jack and Siesta Key as topics in my magazine as they are large tourist attractions and attempted to format it in a similar style to other destination magazines that I reviewed with the place of interest being broken down into different parts, mainly being why it is an attraction, features of the location, surrounding restaurants and shops, etc. with each section of the magazine focusing on an individual location and each of the sections being separated by a few pages of advertisements. My magazine doesn't really represent any social groups or issues as it only talks about locations of interest and says nothing about the people in or around those places.

They most likely marketed their product through the use of social media, spreading ads throughout platforms such as Facebook and twitter, as well as selling products to grocery and convenience stores for people to see and buy. Id probably try to advertise my product through social media platforms similarly to this magazine.

As it is handled and controlled by multiple larger partners, it can be advertised across varied sources of media and across a wide and varied viewer base. It has been published in many nations across the world including  Armenia, Belgium/the Netherlands, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Indonesia, Latin America, Israel, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovenia, Spain, as well as the UK and US. National Geographic Traveler also has social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat. I would most likely incorporate the use of social m...
